Can my five-year-old attend?2020-07-13T23:50:21+00:00

Our summer quests and regularly scheduled programs are not open to five year-olds, for various reasons:

  • Younger children often have difficulty understanding safety protocols while playing with our Swashers
  • There are issues of size that can make it difficult for younger (smaller) children to “compete” in swordplay with the older (larger) children
  • We find that children under six have a much shorter attention span, so the quest may not hold their interest for as long as it needs to and therefore they may distract the other children by becoming distant.
  • Our quest leaders base the questing challenges on age appropriateness and cognitive ability and can find it challenging to offer riddles and puzzles that can be solved by a significantly younger child.

We offer birthday parties for five-year olds, and can create special programs for your five-year old and their friends, as long as additional parents or other adults are there to assist the Quest Leader with safety. See Home Quest and Family Quest for more information

Can I request a particular Quest Leader for a quest or party?2020-07-13T23:48:56+00:00
Yes! Please make note of it on the registration form which Quest Leader inspires your children the most, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. Note that it is never guaranteed that your child will be placed with the requested leader or friend.
Can a younger sibling/friend quest with an older sibling/friend?2020-07-13T23:27:21+00:00

We usually don’t allow younger children to quest with a group of older kids, but on occasion, an older sibling or friend can quest with a younger group. Requests must be made at least one week prior to the start of camp.

Can my Quester request to be in the same group as friends?2020-07-13T23:26:51+00:00

We make every effort to honor friend requests, but they are not guaranteed. Friend requests must be made at least one week prior to the start of camp and they must be mutual.

Can I pick up my child early?2020-07-13T23:16:40+00:00

While that’s certainly okay for occasional needs, we recommend that the child stay for the entire day and for the entire week that the quest is happening. Remember, Adventure Quest is an interactive story. Missing a few hours will mean that the Quester is out of the story for some time, missing out on crucial decisions! But then again, we all need to visit the doctor at some reasonable time of the day now and then…

Can I drop off my child early?2020-07-13T23:15:53+00:00

Until your child is signed in to our program, they are not under our supervision and we have no responsibility for them. Furthermore, all Questers are required to have an authorized adult sign them in and out every day unless the parent or guardian has given written permission otherwise (such as through the registration form).

Is your registration secure?2020-07-13T23:14:54+00:00

Yes! We take security very seriously and whether you register online or by phone we have policies and procedures to keep you credit card data safe.

Do you have before- or after-care?2020-07-13T23:14:17+00:00

At some sites, we run extended programs called “Sword Skirmish Club” or “ATLAS Games Club,” but these must be registered for just like any of our programs. During Phase 2 under COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be offering these programs.

I have a balance due. How do I make a payment?2020-07-14T01:25:22+00:00
I have a credit in my account. How do I use it?2020-07-06T23:02:26+00:00

If you have a credit in your account, you may use it to pay for programming when registering online. The credit will not by default get applied to your cart when you are adding new sessions, so when you go to check out you will see the full program price.  To see the credit reflected in your balance, follow the steps below:

  1. When you are on page 4/6: Choose a Payment Plan, select ‘Pay in Full by Check’ and click the Continue button.
  2. One the next page, click the Submit Application button. See screenshot.
  3. On the next page, to the right of the ‘Application Submitted‘ heading, click the Return Home button. See screenshot.
  4. On the home page, look under View My Registrations and the season. Click the View Details button. See screenshot.
  5. On the next page, below the Financial heading, click the New Payment button and enter your credit card information. You may also download a pdf account statement here. See screenshot.

The above steps apply when you are using your account credit to pay for any program that uses our online registration system.

You may also use your account credit for birthday parties, custom quests, and merchandise from our online store. To do so, please contact the office.

Can I register my child at the last minute (i.e. the weekend before a program begins)?2020-03-13T20:35:35+00:00

Registration for each program closes at midnight on the Thursday before the program begins. While we do our best to accommodate last minute registrations, we cannot guarantee that there will be space available. If you register for a program or decide to change into or out of a session after registration has closed, there will be an additional $25.00 late registration fee applied to your quest. It is best not to show up at the site on Monday morning expecting there to be space available. To register at the last minute (defined as midnight Thursday before a program begins), you must do the following:

  • Call the Majestic Adventures office number (360) 836-0386 and leave a detailed message with:
  • your child’s name and age
  • the location and type of program you want to register for
  • your name and contact information
  • Email us the same information to info@MajesticAdventures.net

We will contact you before 9:00 pm Sunday evening to inform you if we have a spot for your child. Payment is expected at this time. If this is the first time you are attending our program then you will need to register your child online prior to the start of camp so that we have the proper documentation to give to the Quest Leader.

What if I need to change a session that my child is registered for? 2020-03-13T20:15:48+00:00
  • We offer free session changes as long as you give us at least two weeks notice.
  • If you give us less than 2 weeks notice, there is a $15 session change fee.
  • If you need to change sessions within two business days of the program you’re currently registered for, the $25 late registration fee may be applied
What is your cancellation & rescheduling policy?2020-03-13T20:14:49+00:00

Because we know that emergencies come up and illnesses occur, we do our best to accommodate these situations.

  • If you cancel your registration with at least two weeks notice before the program begins, you will receive a full refund for the program you are cancelling.
  • If you cancel within two weeks of the program start date (but no later than two business days ), you will receive a “program credit” good for one year for the amount you paid for the program minus a $25 cancellation fee.
  • If you need to cancel within two business days, you will receive a “program credit” good for one year for the amount you paid for the program minus a $25 cancellation fee, and a $25 late registration fee. If we have denied others the ability to register, only half of the credit is granted.

You can apply cancellation credit towards another program or merchandise.

Are you affiliated with the online game AdventureQuest?2020-07-13T23:35:12+00:00

No. They are owned by Artix Entertainment and have absolutely no involvement in our programs, as we don’t have any involvement in their online games.

Should I tip for birthday parties or other events?2020-07-13T23:34:40+00:00

Tips are always appreciated by our Quest Leaders, but they are never expected. Our Quest Leaders are paid better than the average camp counselor.

Do you do any quests during the weekends?2020-07-13T23:34:07+00:00

We can host a Birthday Party or special event during any weekend you schedule one for. Please see birthday parties and events. Sometimes we run Adventure Academy or a variety of ongoing weekend quest programs. If you are interested in having Majestic Adventures run a Home Quest program for one or several weekends in a row, please contact us.

Do I need to buy your game book (or other books) to come to a program?2020-07-13T23:30:25+00:00

No, but they are helpful for the experienced Quester. Of the various books we offer, the Adventure Quest Game Book should be the first book to buy, as it is the essential book to play Adventure Quest. It describes all the standard Rules, Races, Paths, Equipment, Pets, and Powers. You can order it here.

What should I bring or pack to your program?2020-07-13T23:29:29+00:00

Pack a backpack for your child with a hat for sun protection, a bag lunch with a snack, at least one filled water bottle (two for extended days), a light poncho, warm clothes (for Holiday Quests, as we are outside as much as possible even in the winter!). Your child should be ready with sunscreen already applied. Hiking boots are recommended and give more traction outdoors, but sneakers are adequate. Please do not allow your child to bring candy or gum, pocket knives, electronic games, money, or anything of value.

Do you have a Lost & Found?2020-07-13T23:28:42+00:00

Throughout the year we collect a large amount of items that are left behind by campers. We encourage you to write your child’s name or initials on clothing, water bottles, and any items that they might bring to one of our programs. If you believe that one of your child’s belongings may be in the lost and found, please notify our office staff promptly. We keep our found items at the office. MA promises to keep items in the lost and found for at least two weeks, and if there’s a name on the item, we will attempt to contact you about picking it up. After two weeks or several unreturned phone calls, the lost item will be donated to charity.

Can parents join a quest to see what it’s like?2020-07-13T23:27:55+00:00

Absolutely. If you are curious about what a quest is like, you may join in for an hour or so during the day. Please talk to the Quest Leader and the office about what a good day or time is for the visit.

What is your discipline policy?2020-07-13T23:26:06+00:00
How can you teach non-violence by using foam swords?2020-07-13T23:25:04+00:00
What if I’m late in picking up my child?2020-07-13T23:19:19+00:00

During each pick up, staff will stay late and wait with the children whose parents have not arrived. There is a ten minute grace period for picking up participants at the end of a program. The grace period begins at the time that the program is officially over. The late pick up fee is $5 for every five minutes or part of five minutes after the grace period. Late pick up, if arranged with 24 hours notice, drops to $2 for every five minutes or $24/hour. If a parent is more than 20 minutes late, all efforts will be made to contact the parent including calling the emergency numbers provided on the health form.
