Contest Details:
Do you love being the hero of a mythic quest? Now you can be the creator of your own mythic quest! The Bardic Guild of the Quest and Quill is calling all writers, poets, scribes, and artists to submit original work for publication in the Guild’s upcoming story collection. Do you have a story about a Quest you’ve experienced? Do you have a drawing or saga about your character’s adventures in Thael? Do you have an idea for a quest that hasn’t yet been written? The Guild is seeking stories, poems, and tales one to fifteen pages in length, as well as drawings that can fill a page. Submissions can be about anything that takes place in Thael within the lore of Adventure Quest.
Concurrently with this contest, we are offering Quest & Quill online programs to help kids develop their creative writing. See below for details.
The theme of this volume is “Courage”.

Creative Writing Program – Quest & Quill
Concurrently with this contest, Majestic Adventures is offering Quest & Quill, a program that combines creative writing with questing, and offers kids the opportunity to take part in creating the adventures that they embark upon.
In the tradition of the ancient Norse Skalds, Quest & Quill encourages creative writing and the oratory arts within an Adventure Quest program. Participants can write about the stories unfolding in their quests, or about their heroic character, or any topic that inspires them.
We focus on the enjoyment of writing, self-expression, and the oratory arts and give less focus to grammar, spelling, and writing style.
There will be two online Quest & Quill programs, for a series of afternoons:
Quest and Quill Online
Who: Questers (ages 9+)
When: Tuesdays – 3/31-4/21
or Thursdays- 4/2-4/23
Time: 2:30-4:30
Cost: $70 per quester
Free Intro Sessions – Thursday, 3/27 12:00 – 1:30 pm
or Friday, 3/28 12:00 – 1:30 pm
What: Each Quest & Quill session includes creative writing, Questers reading aloud a short excerpt of their writing, and then-for the bulk of the session- embarking on an online quest. This program is running alongside our writing and art contest, and is a great opportunity to develop writing skills to aid questers in the contest, while providing an educational program in a creative and supportive environment.
